Year 10 father-son workshop: “The Conversation about Modern Manhood” – An Evening with Dave Kramer

Year 10 students and their fathers are invited to our upcoming special event: “The Conversation about Modern Manhood” – An Evening with Dave Kramer.

What does it mean to be a man? It’s a question our sons are already answering — shaped by sport, social media, their peers, and the men in their world. Teenage boys are navigating more than most of us realise: pressure to be tough; to ‘have it together’; to not need anyone. Often, they’re doing this alone — not because they don’t want connection, but because the world has told them that going it alone is the only way to prove yourself. This workshop will create a different kind of space. Together with your son, you’ll explore the unwritten rules of masculinity — where they come from, what they cost, and what we miss if we don’t expand our opportunities for manhood. You don’t need to have it all figured out. In fact, it helps if you don’t. Come as you are. Leave closer than you arrived.

• Times: 6.00pm – 7.30pm
• Venue: Trinity College Staff Lounge
  • Pending bookings, the venue may change due to the need for a larger space to accommodate more guests. Registered attendees will be notified of any changes to the venue closer to the event.
• Cost: $10 per person (excl booking fees)
  • All proceeds from this event will be donated to Small Steps 4 Hannah, an Australian charity that works to raise awareness and educate the community to identify coercive control behaviours and halt the cycle of domestic and family violence.
• Other:
  • Year 10 students must be accompanied by their father/paternal guardian in order to attend this event.
  • Attendance is limited to current TC families in the Year 10 cohort.
